Frequently Asked Questions

Helpful information to answer your most common questions about our painting process.

How many coats do you apply to a surface?

Our painting process typically involves 2 to 3 coats depending on the surface and its condition. For new surfaces, we always start with an undercoat to ensure proper adhesion and durability, followed by 2 topcoats of premium paint. For previously painted surfaces, 2 coats are usually sufficient, unless there’s a significant colour change, which may require addition layers to achieve a flawless finish.

What do I need to prepare before your arrival?

We recommend moving small, delicate, or personal items before our arrival. For larger furniture, we’re happy to assist in relocating items within the areas we’ll be painting. If we notice anything at risk, we’ll move it to a safe place.

Please also take note of any picture hooks you’d like to keep or have patched, as well as any visible defects, cracks, or stains. This will allow us to address them during the painting process.

Will you protect my furniture and flooring during the painting process?

Absolutely! We take great care to protect your flooring and furniture from any potential paint splatter. Using premium materials like high quality drop sheets and protective coverings, we ensure everything stays clean and undamaged throughout the painting process.

Do you offer a colour consultation?

Yes, we’re happy to assist you in selecting the perfect colours for your project. Before the painting process begins, we can meet with you to review colour options and offer professional advice, ensuring the chosen palette beautifully complements your space.

What type of paints do you use?

We always use the highest quality paints from the most reputable brands to ensure your home looks great and lasts for years. We carefully select the right paint type for each area of your home, including premium products for wet areas, specialised primers for better adhesion, and durable exterior paints that stand up to Brisbane’s weather. By choosing the right paints for every surface, we ensure flawless results and long-lasting protection.
